It’s the 51st edition of The Gems Corner, and today we will be looking at the rise of AI Agents, and other alphas, as usual.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is arguably one of the biggest narratives in 2024. Part of it is fueled by the increasing use cases and subsets that keep springing up by the day.
Even so, AI Agent or Smart Agent is another subset of Crypto AI making waves recently.
What then is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is a software program that can interact with its environment, collect data, and use the data to perform self-determined tasks to meet predetermined goals. Think of it as an online personal assistant that helps you execute tasks on your behalf.
In Crypto, there are many use cases of AI Agents, some of which are already happening. Luke Saunders, the Co-founder of Delphi Labs, said and I quote:
The first thing to say is that agents are already here. A liquidation bot is an agent. An arb bot is an agent. The person who built it is chilling on their sofa while the bot is making them money. There are thousands of such things performing on-chain actions already.
Imagine a world where agents can utterly ease the life of a degen by assisting in things like airdrop hunting, meme trading, yield farming, token sales, DCA-ing, and much more. Things are much underway, devs are cooking!
All you need to do is just set up your Agents, and chill. Then watch them execute, and bring results.
Some other use cases of AI Agents include intelligent oracles, smart wallets, portfolio management, liquidity management, airdrop hunting, yield farming, and, content moderation, to name a few.
